After kicking off AMT’s 2015-2016 Season with a “New Beginnings” themed open-mic, AMT Live! Paris is proud to present a night devoted entirely to contemporary Musical Theater writers, with a focus on ASCAP Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award recipients. 

The ASCAP Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award, conceived of by the late Mary Rodgers, daughter of Richard Rodgers, was established by Mary to encourage promising young ASCAP composers of musical theater and is funded by Mary Rodgers and the Rodgers Family Foundation.

Among its recipients, we find many of our favorite contemporary composers, such as :

• Lin-Manuel Miranda
• Andrew Lippa
• John Bucchino
• Adam Guettel
• Jeanine Tesori
• and many others

The night will feature performances of contemporary work including:

• Songs by NYC songwriting team Tim Rosser and Charlie Sohne, who will be special guests in attendance at the soirée. 

• The cast of Next Thing You know  (an AMT Live ! Paris production)- reprising from Oct 12 after a successful run at the Highlander Pub. Come and meet two of our new cast members (pictured left) – Vinicious Timmerman and Marion Préïté, who will cover the roles of Darren and Waverly, respectively.
• The cast of Gutenberg the musical, soon reprising at the Sentier des Halles
