Support Paris’ First Franco-American Musical Theatre Center!

AMT Live! has partnered with Global Giving Charities to begin our fundraiser to create Paris’ first Franco-American Musical Theater Center. Any artist in the Paris area knows the difficulties surrounding finding affordable space to practice, develop and perform our craft. In this new space located in the heart of the City of Lights, interdisciplinary artists will hone their crafts while fostering collaborative exchange in a bilingual environment.

Our non-profit association will welcome the public to enjoy quality performances and educational opportunities in a permanent home dedicated to international dialogue and cultural exchange.

You can now make *tax-deductible donations from both the USA and France to promote the launch of this new centre. Your support can make the difference – no donation is too small. Won’t you join us in our quest to give a home to this vision?

Building a home base for our mission

AMT Live! has been promoting peaceful, cross-cultural collaboration in Paris around musical theatre for the past five years as a nomadic organization. We are in need of a home of our own so that we can maintain and expand our outreach efforts. Securing temporary space in Paris is prohibitively expensive and takes an incredible toll on our volunteer manpower. Our modest means and the vast amount of volunteer energy is spent on simply finding a
location to meet, rehearse, and welcome the public and it is not sustainable in the long-term. After hobbling along for five years in rented spaces, we must now raise enough money to rent a long-term space to call our own.

Establishing a solid base of operations for our organization will allow us to continue to grow and provide expanded opportunities in our local community, and to develop more sustainable long-term projects.

We aim to celebrate our fifth anniversary as a declared non-profit association by opening a physical location from which we can continue and expand our outreach efforts. We have an incredible amount of hands-on-deck support from our membership and network, but a space is crucial to being able to maintain our community outreach efforts.

Over the past five years, with only funds raised by our volunteer efforts and over 5000 donated hours per year, we have:

● Engaged 120 company artists

● Hosted over a dozen directors, teachers and performers from Broadway, West-End, and beyond to exchange with our local directors and artists, and to teach and direct Paris-based artists.

● Worked with 500 student artists

● Produced five American musicals – all French premieres – with a company of artists from over a dozen countries (and 6 continents).

● Launched Paris’ first site-specific musical and created an original, bilingual French/English musical.

● Presented a dozen concerts and showcases

● Hosted more than than 25 open mic soirées dedicated to showcasing local talent.

As a professional troupe, we have been recognized as the Best Theatre Company in Paris (2016) by Expatriates Magazine. Beyond that, we take pride in creating opportunities to use our art to bridge cultural divide. Providing space for artists to perform new work, and an ability to welcome public supports our mission, and many more things become possible. This space will allow us to build a meeting point for international exchanges through arts and allow us to create a space that is welcoming to foreign artists.
